An inspiring charity dinner!
250 people attended the
Prophetic Sacrifice, a free charity dinner organised by our Birmingham Team
to commemorate the symbolic sacrifice of Prophet Abraham during the sacred
month of Dhul Hijjah.
A delicious three course dinner was provided and
our guests had the opportunity to listen to Malaka Mohammed, a student
activist from Gaza, who gave a first-hand account of life in the Gaza Strip. Youth
group Right Foot First performed a moving flashmob, depicting the
injustice of the apartheid.
‘”An inspiring and
well organised charity dinner – the atmosphere in the room was electric and you
could really feel the barakah in the air! The speakers were informative and
inspiring and the flashmob performance was incredibly moving! All in all, a
fantastic evening in support of our brothers and sisters in Palestine and I
loved the link to the Hajj!’” – Amatullah, teacher
“I enjoyed it – hands
down to the team. I loved every bit of it and I wish I could take myself back
to the night. JazakAllah khayr for the evening!” –
Nasiruddin, Interpal volunteer
Well done to our staff and volunteers for organising this event and thank you to the wonderful speakers and to all of our supporters!
